Mighty Mites - Created and pioneered
since 1980 - Our Award Winning Children's program cited by the City of
Kettering, Dorwood Optomist, Dayton Daily Newspaper, Montgomery County
Recreation Dept. International publication of Black Belt magazine
Master Taningco moved here in 1976. He
visited many martial arts school and saw that children classes were not
available separately away from the adults. The children from the age 4 years on
up was not offered at that time. So he created and wrote the program for the 4
to 6 years of age called Mighty mites or at times he calls it Super Kidz
Program.
Master Taningco also created the older
Super Kidz program from ages 7 to 11, and 12 to young adult.
In 2001, City of Kettering has
Recognized his talent and abundance of knowledge in teaching children. The City
hired Master Taningco to teach the entire elementary school system in the
Martial arts for two years. They have used him as the main model Martial arts
Instructor for many of the elementary schools in the United States.
Success became apparent to his teaching
style couple with abundance of patience and understanding of children. He has
two children (now adults) that has participated in the earlier years in his
teaching that helped paved the success of the development of children classes.
Now, Lee his first son, (second oldest) is an accomplished high school teacher
(the third generation teacher). Now his third child named Jaden is also
participating in the Super Kidz Program.
Master Taningco emphasizes the goodness
in each children with firm and loving care in his teaching style. As a
grandfather, he realized that many years ago, that the children are the future
leaders of TOMORROW. With over 30 years of teaching in Miami Valley area, Master
Taningco still does the "hands on teaching" with the Mighty Mites and the
older Super Kidz program. He brings onto the floor of many years of Experience.
He will guide your child and "bring out the best" in each one of them
uniquely. He is very active in the development of all the children to develop
their sense of CONFIDENCE, SELF-RESPECT, DISCIPLINE, CONCENTRATED FOCUS
AND HONOR with Positive encouragement. He also personally test their skill from
time to time to increase their awareness about themselves, TO ESTABLISH
LEADERSHIP SKILLS, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, INCREASING THEIR ABILITY IN LISTENING
SKILLS and Understanding Skills to help develop their (how to) follow skills.
Their grades has improved dramatically and also their attention span as well as
their concentration skill.
Our Children Program is very
structured. Children needs is focus in the structured program. They progress at
their own pace. Master Taningco also stylized his approach to teaching the
children to get their interest and positive motivations. Each students are being
challenged every week in each classes with great encouragement and enthusiasm.
Positive reinforcements are always one of the keys of the children program’s
success. Teaching the children to believe in themselves as well as the Tama
staff believing in each child.
The system we teach the children is
quite unique. We teach the traditional approach of Kempo Karate mixed with our
unique Jiujitsu self-defense techniques along with traditional Kobudo training
at an early age. What we have is not only fun but very educational concentrated
focus ideas to further develop the children's mind and body. We mixed the
methodologies training of the Old school and the New school in our TAMA CENTER.
Master Taningco and his wife Judy runs the Tama family martial arts center
backed by very experience Tama Black Belts that Master Taningco had personally
train for many years. The Tama Staff are very caring individuals that cares each
student's progress.
