2005 Ohio Black Belt Hall of Fame Inductees

The Ohio Black Belt Hall of Fame was formed to recognize the efforts, sacrifice and dedication of Ohio Black Belts. We have taken the Black Belt Test to receive the belt. Only to fail the real test of a Black Belt and that is the test of life. How we handle life’s trials and challenges; how we deal with pride, ego and power. Some have used the rank to exploit their egos. Some have used it's authority to abuse and use, to become almost Gods in their own little worlds. Some think that the belt itself makes them something, but it's not the belt, it's the person who makes it what it is. Uncompromising dedication to the values and virtues that most styles and systems believe in: Humility, Honor, Respect, Honesty, Perseverance, Responsibility, Accountability, Truth, Loyalty, Courage and a desire to do what is right.
We have all made mistakes, but it's the intent of our hearts where we should be judged and this is the best left to the one who made us, God Himself.
So when you see an Ohio Black Belt Hall of Famer... walk up and shake their hand or politely bow, for they have been in the trenches for a long time, tried and refined by the fire, giving of themselves to make our world a better place to live.
